May Allah s.w.t purify our intentions and bless our time and
energy this month, and may He write us from among those who are
released from hellfire and grant us the reward of Laylatul Qadr. Ameen.

Laylatul Qadr is the Night of Power. Laylatul Qadr is the night that
is better than one thousand months, Quran is saying. One thousand
months, if you start calculating, it’s about eighty something years of a
man’s life. Meaning in this one month, it is better than the whole life
of a man. It is blessed.
“Surely We revealed it (the Holy Qur’an) on the
grand night. And what will make you comprehend what the grand night. The
grand night is better than a thousand months. The angels and Gabriel
descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, Peace!
It is till the break of the morning.”

The Night of Power (Lailatul Qadr) is the night the first verses of the Quran were revealed. Considered the holiest night of the year, it has been reported to be during one of the odd numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, i.e. 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th. It has been emphasized that it is most likely to be the 27th night. The signs of Lailatul-Qadr as reported:
1. The sun rises early the next morning without rays.
2. Rain may fall either during the night or during the day of that night.
3. During night the sky will be lightly foggy.
4. The sky will be slightly lighted without reflections and without rays.
5. The angels and Gabriel all descend down onto earth for many purposes.

................................................................................................................"During Laylatul Qadr, the angels, the spirit, and the trusted scribes all descend to the lower heavens and write down whatever Allah decrees that year, and if Allah wishes to advance something or postpone it or add thereto, He orders the angel to erase it and replace it with whatever He decrees."— Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (as)
