Ramadan is coming in a few days, and those of you who don’t know what is Ramadan, it’s a month where muslims fast from dawn to the sunset, we try to get closer to God, get closer to the Quraa’n “our holy book” which was revealed in the month of Ramadan and root our bad habits.

We try to learn more about our religion and focus more on our spiritual journey more than any other part of our life, it is a time when we try to become better people -more honest, more kind, more giving- and just work on our hearts and souls to chase away evil, by being more mindfull and present and focused on what really matter, and try to keep this all the year not just in Ramadan.

People think It’s all about fasting but Ramadan and Qura’an are linked together more often, so as Muslim we must give priority to quraa’n and try to Interpret the words of Allah that we have in our hands.

“Ramadan meets you where you are” it means that the point is not to get overwhelmed, keep a small progress better than a big which you can’t keep, try not to do so much to the point you get exhausted and burned out and can not keep up during or after Ramadan and feel guilty.

If you’re somebody whose not praying try to keep up with praying this month, if you didn’t fast before make the next month the begging of your fasting non stopped journey, if you don’t read quraa’n in your normal days try to read it slowly and continuously.

Allah, on this month take me closer towards your pleasure, keep me away from your anger and punishment, grant me the opportunity to recite your verses of the Qura’an, by your mercy, O the most Merciful
